Bharat Ke Veer 4.3

The courageous soldiers of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) engage in a daily battle to safeguard India's external and internal security. They protect the hostile borders in the west with Pakistan and in the north and east with China, facing threats generated by militants in Jammu and Kashmir, insurgency in the north-east, and Maoist extremists in central and east India. These soldiers make tremendous sacrifices, with one losing their life every third day and another becoming permanently incapacitated.

The Bharat Ke Veer mobile app is an initiative that allows citizens to pay homage to the bravehearts in the Central Armed Police Forces who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Through this app, individuals can contribute directly to the bank accounts of the fallen soldiers' families or to the "Bharat Ke Veer" corpus.

To ensure broad coverage, a maximum cap of 15 lakhs is set per braveheart, and donors will be alerted if their contribution exceeds Rs 15 lakhs. They can then choose to either decrease their donation or redirect part of it to another braveheart's account or to the "Bharat Ke Veer" corpus.

The "Bharat Ke Veer" corpus will be managed by a committee comprising respected individuals and senior government officials who will equitably distribute funds to the families of fallen soldiers based on their needs. There is no limit to contributions to the "Bharat Ke Veer" corpus.

Payments through this app are powered by the State Bank of India.

The CAPFs, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, consist of the following forces:

1. Assam Rifles (AR): Engaged in border guarding along the Indo-Myanmar border and counter-insurgency operations in the North East.
2. Border Security Force (BSF): Safeguards India's borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh and is also deployed for anti-insurgency operations.
3. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): Provides security to key sectors including airports, metro systems, important industries in the public and private sectors, heritage monuments, government buildings, and protected individuals.
4. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): The primary force for internal security, including anti-naxal operations, counter-insurgency duties in J&K and the North East, and handling law and order problems.
5. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): Guards India's borders with China, with specialized training to operate in high altitude mountainous terrain. Also engaged in internal security duties as required.
6. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF): Specializes in responding to natural and man-made disasters, saving lives and livelihoods, and preparing communities for disaster resilience and risk reduction.
7. National Security Guard (NSG): A special force tasked with conducting counter-terrorist, counter-hijack, and hostage-rescue operations, as well as providing mobile security to designated protectees.
8. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): Primarily responsible for guarding India's borders with Nepal and Bhutan. The force also performs internal security duties and is deployed to handle LWE/Counter-insurgency in several states.
